We can't believe it's already August, the summer is moving too fast! The weather has been perfect lately and the property is looking as gorgeous as ever. We are looking forward to another great month full of exciting events. We have a First Friday Pour featuring new Vintner Members La Follette and Quivira, our last Junior Golf School of the year, The Annual Club Championships, and wrapping up the month with a Sip N' Swing. Don't forget to sign up for the Labor Day festivities as well! We hope you are enjoying your summer, and look forward to seeing you at the Club soon! DAWN QUINN - ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR
Dawn is our new Activities Director. Children, fun, exercise and the love of the outdoors are a few of her passions. As a mother of a 13-year-old, she has worked and volunteered at his school for many years. She organized and taught the Art Docent Program and held the Event Coordinator position for the PTA. She is an avid triathlete and competes in 4 to 5 Ironman events each year and coaches track & field at a local middle school. Keeping children healthy and happy is very important to her. She is excited to work at Mayacama and be a part of your children's lives. What better way to help a child learn to be healthy, and make lifelong memories than to enjoy some fun activities! Jose works in the kitchen as a prep cook and has been with Mayacama for more than 15 years. He is here every Tuesday to deep-clean the kitchen while the Club is closed. Cooking is one of his passions and he loves working at Mayacama and being able to prepare food for guests. In his spare time, one of his other passions is photography and he has shot many weddings over the years. When he isn't taking photos or in the kitchen, he is spending time with his two children. Maria works on the Housekeeping team and has been with Mayacama for more than 11 years! When she isn't keeping the Clubhouse and Residences spotless she enjoys gardening, working out, doing zumba and spending time with her children and grandchild. Rodrigo Silva is our highly-valued irrigation technician. Anything and everything irrigation related is handled by Rodrigo. He has been with us since day one, which puts his tenure with Mayacama at around 17 years! Rodrigo was working for the company that built the golf course when we hired him away from them and his knowledge of the golf course and irrigation system is invaluable. In his time away from work Rodrigo enjoys playing football (soccer), basketball, mountain biking, relaxing and spending time with his three kids…one of which is just 6 months old. Next time you’re on the course and see someone in a hole (literally) fixing something dirty and irrigation related chances are it’s Rodrigo…stop and say hi! |

Wednesday – Friday All Mayacama Juniors are invited to join our professional golf staff for three days of fun instruction! Juniors will learn full-swing, pitching and chipping, putting, etiquette and sportsmanship, and The Rules of Golf. Finally, the Juniors will finish with fun competitions and a 3-hole Golf Course!

JULY SIP N' SWING RESULTS
We had a great turnout for our festive Sip N’ Swing with nearly 50 golfers competing to beat the pros! Your professional staff of Ted, Zach, Chelsa and Hayden shot a score of 33 and remain undefeated. Thank you to all who participated and please join us for our second Sip N’ Swing this year taking place on August 31 at 4 pm. If you would like to take a caddie, please reserve one ahead of time by calling the Golf Shop at 707.569.2915.
HUSBAND-WIFE CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
We had an exciting Husband-Wife Championship with a total of 12 teams! We would like to congratulate overall champions Jim & Karen Silveira and Robert & Sonja Pang, as well as everyone who participated! This is a really fun tournament and we would like to see a stronger attendance in the future. We encourage you to chat with those who participated. Come out next year and join the fun!

Rachael is your amazing Mayacama Spa Coordinator, always happy to welcome you to the Clubhouse with a friendly “Hello.” She has worked in hospitality for over 20 years and enjoys the wonderful places it has taken her. Her background is in Culinary Arts and she was a private chef for 10 years in Pebble Beach and recently moved to Sonoma County two years ago. Rachael LOVES the facials at the Spa because they leave your skin looking and feeling terrific, but her favorite is the Foot Ritual which is a nice addition to any treatment! “The Foot Ritual relieves tired feet and is perfect for giving your tootsies the added TLC they deserve after a long day. When Rachael is not at work she loves to be outdoors, working in her garden or going to the beach. Her dog Cookie joins her on adventures visiting the many breathtaking places in Sonoma County.
