Dear Members, Unfortunately, Mayacama will no longer be involved in the scheduling and arrangement of babysitting requests from Members and their guests. We acknowledge this may be difficult for many of you to accept. However, Mayacama has invested in a full time Activities Director who plans and directs various camps and other activities for children throughout the entire year. At times, these activities have been compromised, because of the demand to provide childcare at the “last minute”. Providing this courtesy has become an unsustainable practice and redirects our staff away from our core competencies which is providing your children with a wonderful club-sponsored experience. In lieu of this, we have assembled a list of childcare providers and sitters with photos, bios and contact information available for you at the concierge’s desk and have attached a copy HERE. If you are having difficulties finding someone to provide childcare, we also suggest Nannies of the Valley and even Care.com. All information on the sitting, including rate, must be negotiated directly between you and the sitter. Mayacama cannot be involved in any part of this process due to liability issues; we are simply providing this list as a courtesy to you. Mayacama has been providing camps and activities for children now for over 12 years and we encourage you to take advantage of this program by registering your children and grandchildren to participate in as many club-sponsored activities as they can. After all, creating memories for your children at Mayacama is what we strive for. Please be sure to review our Kid’s Summer Camp & Activities Schedule HERE or at the Concierge Desk. Our Activities Director, Melinda Murray, has designed a fun and exciting Kid’s Camp schedule for 2017 based upon membership feedback. This year’s Camp schedule includes fashion, glass fusion, basketball and golf camps, as well as, off property field trips to Safari West and the New Epicenter…to name just a few. While the children are attending our camp, we encourage you to head out for a round of golf or enjoy a relaxing day at the spa. We appreciate your understanding and will ask for your full cooperation in this matter, effective immediately.
