Dear Members,
We are now in our fourth week of a shelter in place and many of us are still trying to adjust to the new "normal". We hope that you have been able to use this time to reconnect with your family and try to find the hidden blessings in these unprecedented times. We have been receiving lots of questions from our Members so we are going to try and provide you with some answers here:
Where are we today?
At this time, the county ordinance remains unchanged, the Club and Course are closed until May 3rd. There have been talks about a potential extension of the order, although nothing has been confirmed yet. As soon as we have clear direction from the county we can provide you with another update.
When will we be able to resume golf?
We are working with the county and local supervisors to begin to offer Members golf while keeping socially distanced. The goal would be to have limited food service available at the Snack Bar while our golf operations resume. We expect golf to resume as early as next week, look for an email on Monday with details.
When will the Clubhouse and Residences open?
Once we get word from the county that our shelter in place order has been lifted, we will begin to reopen the Club and its facilities. Initially, the Clubhouse will reopen, following any food service regulations that the county or state requires so we may properly serve our Members. The next step would be to get clearance from the county to open our residences, and at that time we would make our lodging available.
When will we be able to enjoy Club events?
Since we are not allowed to have any group events, we have postponed all future Club events including All Vintner Pour, Mother's Day Brunch, Member-Member Tournament, and Memorial Day Weekend celebrations. A revised Club events calendar will be sent out with rescheduled dates of Club events as soon as we have guidance from the county.
How are our employees doing?
They are doing well! In short, the response from the Employee Relief Fund was filled with gratitude. We sent the first distribution of those funds on April 7th, and with more and more donations coming in every day, we plan to have a second distribution of funds mid-May. If you would like to donate to the fund, please find the link here.
Are you still doing projects at the Club?
Yes! We have been busier than ever to make sure that when you return, your Club is better than ever. A few of our recent projects during the closure include:
- Spring Aeration
- Re sodding front nine tee boxes
- Re sanding of all the bunkers
- Re landscaping the back terrace
- Renovation to two of the service areas in the Bar & Grill
- Installed a 2-Vehicle Electric Charging Station w/dedicated parking
- Resurfaced the Swimming Pool
- Upgraded WiFi Systems to all Residences
- Installation of a Generator connection to keep critical systems functioning during power outages and blackouts.
Do you have any other questions?
We will continue to update our Members through email communication, but if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please reach out to General Manager, Dan Michael at (707) 569-2951 or [email protected]. |
