Dear Members,
On behalf of all of us at Mayacama, we hope that you and yours are staying well.
As we continue to adjust to the realities of “Shelter in Place”, unfortunately, our Club remains closed until further notice. We continue to conduct “essential functions” in order to ensure that our property stays in good condition. We currently only have a small team deployed for security and environmental services, and our Leadership Team has elected to take a salary reduction until we are able to resume operations. In the meantime, our Golf Course Maintenance team is still progressing this week with Spring Aeration and re-sodding tee boxes. We are also completing a few projects such as upgrading our electric vehicle charging stations and Bar & Grill service areas.
As a result of our very limited operations, we have made the most difficult decision to temporarily layoff the majority of our employees. Although we have been closed for the last two weeks, we committed to paying our entire staff through March 29, so everyone will receive a full paycheck this Friday. We are also paying out all accrued vacation hours to all of those employees who are subject to the temporary layoff. In addition, all employees will receive health benefits until the end of April, and we are assisting with information on how to apply for unemployment benefits. All of these measures are intended to supplement the Federal CARES Act funds that are currently in process.
We have received several notes from Members asking what they can do to help support our employee community, so we have set up the following links for donations. We will make sure to distribute the funds equitably to all of the employees affected. We hope you will join us in this effort to support our staff.

Wishing you all health and wellbeing,
