An Update to our Members,
After being unable to access the property for the past few days, we finally have access, although restricted.
Our top priority is restoring the sewage infrastructure, and we are currently working on short and long-term solutions. We were very fortunate to get the Russian River Utility team onto the property on Tuesday to assess the damage and get us into the queue of ordering new sewage equipment as there are several other facilities in similar situations.
The good news is we have been provided a quote on the exact equipment we need (with some upgrades we were already planning), and have approved this unit to be delivered ASAP. Construction is underway and the best guess we have at the moment is around 4 to 6 weeks for it to be finished and installed.
In the meantime as soon as the fire subsides we will implement a plan to get the course open, some temporary restroom facilities and a golf experience that might resemble the early days of the club. While I know golf would be the last thing on anyone’s mind at this point, our business is the lifeblood of many people who will be looking to rebuild their lives and get some sense of normalcy.
We much appreciate the outpouring of support from Members inquiring about how to donate to those affected. We would like to consolidate all Member donations for staff etc., into one effort which we will send further communications about next week.
Keep everyone in your prayers and know that the entire Mayacama family is pulling together after this tragic event.
