Our hearts are with all of our Members, Employees, and their families who have experienced loss in the past 48 hours. We are continuing to send out prayers to all of those affected in our wonderful community. An update on Mayacama: We are OK for now. The Clubhouse is still standing, our villas and casitas have been untouched. Our golf course is virtually unscathed but unfortunately, we did lose a Member-owned home on the property (they are safe). Our golf course maintenance building did catch fire but we were able to save all of the equipment and the building still stands. The most important thing to address is our sewer treatment is currently non-operational due to the fire. We are working towards a resolution now but do not have a timeline when that will be online. For now, the property is unable to be occupied by anyone but we will update via email correspondence and social media to our Membership as we know more information. Mayacama is still in an active evacuation zone. The fire crews are on site and are continuing to work hot spots and create the necessary fire breaks as they work on containing the overall blaze. Mayacama on-site communications are limited and we will do our best to update you via email as we gain more information and more clarity on a timeline in which the club will reopen. It is with heavy hearts as we send this update knowing how many in our community have lost so much. We continue to send out prayers to each and every one of you.
