The Connection is Back!

We are excited to welcome back The Connection as the Club fully reopens. Below outlines our modified family and golf events in July. We look forward to seeing you at the Club!

Upcoming Club Events

Mini-Mudder Camp

Wednesday - Saturday, July 8-11

This unique camp will allow your child to dig deep and find their inner strength. We will focus on proper technique and execution to succeed through this challenging obstacle course. During this camp the children will help build obstacles and design the course. In addition to building strength and endurance, we will also learn about nutrition and proper hydration. This camp will be run as a Tween camp and a Kids Camp. During the day we will have activities that focus on the different ages accordingly. However, we will all start and finish the days together. On race day, there will be two race starts: the tweens will start first, and the kids will start after. There will be awards for the top 3 finishers in each group. We will all celebrate at the end with homemade popsicles made by the kids!

Junior Golf Mini-Camps

July 22 & 23 | 10:45AM - 4PM
August 5 & 6 | 10:45AM - 4PM

We are excited to be able to offer two-day Junior Golf Mini-Camps in July and August. Sign your children up for some fun golf instruction followed by afternoon swim time.

10:45AM: Registration
11AM - 1PM: Golf Instruction
1PM: Lunch at the Pool
2PM - 4PM: Swim

$200++ per junior golfer
Space is limited to 12 juniors

Family Movie Night: Onward

Friday, July 24 | Movie Starts at Sundown

Lounge on the grass on for a big screen movie with the family! Grab your blankets, pillows and get ready for a great summer night in the beautiful outdoors. We will provide drinks and snacks as well as freshly popped popcorn for your outdoor movie experience. Movie to be featured: Pixar's Onward.

Independence Day

Saturday, July 4

Join us on the 4th of July for BBQ specials, watermelon, frozen treats and a special 'Mayamelon Shrub' for the adults. In the afternoon head to the pool for live music and swimming!

Independence Day Balloon Sale

July 4

Be sure to stop by the Golf Shop for a beer during the Fourth of July Weekend and shop our Independence Day Balloon Sale, with savings up to 40% when you pop the right balloon! Your Golf Staff will be on hand to assist you with any items from clubs, personalized golf balls, apparel, or equipment. You will find a spectacular array of inventory with the opportunity to save on your purchases. The Sale extends from Friday through Sunday!

Titleist Fitting Day

July 11

Here is your opportunity to get custom-fitted for new Golf Clubs or have your product questions answered. Titleist Club Fitter Michael Rauch will be at Mayacama with the entire collection of the latest golf equipment from Titleist, including the new Game Improvement T-400 Irons! A few appointments remain and you may book yours by calling the Golf Shop at 707-569-2915.

The Member-Member

July 31 - August 1

The Mayacama Member-Member, our first tournament back since The St. Patrick’s Day Four-ball is already sold out! Scheduled for Friday and Saturday, July 31 & August 1, we are hopeful that we will be able to conduct this tournament using our normal format and schedule of events, and are proceeding accordingly. Men's Member-Guest

September 23 - 26

Entries opened for our 20th Men’s Member-Guest on June 10th and will remain open until 5:00 pm on Monday, July 6. The Lottery to gain entry takes place on Wednesday, July 8th with the Lottery Results sent by electronic mail on Friday, July 10th to all persons who registered prior to the deadline. 20 Years of Service: Celebrating Our Very First Employee, Dale Engman

July marks 20 years since Dale was first hired by the Club, before there was even a golf course to maintain. We're very grateful for everything Dale has contributed to Mayacama over the last two decades, so join us in celebrating this tremendous milestone and tell him congratulations when you see him around the course.

Hayden Stratton Named as Head Professional/ Golf Operations Manager at The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe

As some of you may know, Hayden Stratton accepted a position at The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe as Golf Operations Manager / Head Golf Professional in March. We are very proud of Hayden and his accomplishments and we will miss him around the Club. Please click here to read a personal thank you note from Hayden to all our Members.

Our Caddie Program

We were pleased to be able to bring back our Caddie Program and we’re grateful for all of the Members who have supported the program thus far by taking a Caddie. While usage of the Caddie Program remains optional for the time being, 35% of our players are utilizing the services of our Caddies. Your support enables us to sustain the program during these months and we thank you on behalf of all of our Caddies. Please be reminded that under the current guidelines, requests for Caddies must be made in advance at the time of booking your starting time.

Advance Starting Times

To help us accommodate your game, please be reminded that you may book your starting time up to 7 days in advance.

Golf Cars

The Club is currently permitting the use of Golf Cars for all Members during their round. However, priority will be given to those Members who are over the age of 65 or cannot physically walk the golf course. While we still promote walking as the ideal way to play the game, we are making golf cars available based on the current conditions surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic. You may request a golf car in advance when booking your starting time and every effort will be made to accommodate your request. Please observe normal golf car etiquette by using golf car paths where available and remaining at least 30 feet from putting greens.

Golf Attire

While many of our Club Customs have been adjusted to accommodate the protocol surrounding Covid-19, no such adjustment has been made to normal Club Customs where appropriate Golf Attire is concerned. This Club Custom should be observed by all Members and their accompanied guests whenever on the golf course or practice range. Tailored Bermuda length shorts, shirts tucked into trousers and caps worn facing forward are all part of “Appropriate Golf Attire” at Mayacama and we appreciate your observance of these customs for the enjoyment of all Members.
