Watermelon Shrub

An incredibly delicious and refreshing cocktail, crafted with our house-made mint simple syrup, the watermelon shrub is the perfect summer libation to take out on the course, or to sip in your poolside cabana.

In addition to the mint simple syrup, the shrub is also made in-house with fresh watermelon, sugar and champagne vinegar for a sweet and lightly acidic finish. The watermelon shrub is a great choice for summer since it is packed with electrolytes to keep you hydrated in the sun.

Grilling Season

With warmer temperatures and holiday weekends upon us, we know backyard BBQs and grilled meats are often on the menu. Our Executive Chef Carl Shelton has created a fantastic peach BBQ sauce that pairs wonderfully with almost any grilled meat or even fish. The peach adds a great sweetness that compliments smoky or even spicy meat rubs.

Summer Wines

Carignan, LIOCO, Mendocino County 2017

Think of this dark and delightful beauty when you are gearing up for a Summertime BBQ. LIOCO's savory Carignan pairs beautifully with lamb, steaks, and especially pulled pork or spareribs.

Syrah, Red Car, Estate, Sonoma Coast 2014

This wine shows restraint, naturally high acidity, true Northern Rhône Syrah perfume, and silky tannins are important components in Red Car’s 2014. With notes of juniper berry, black pepper, mushroom, and anise, this wine is sure to turn heads at any backyard BBQ.

Keep Your Swing in Shape for Summer!

Here is an effective drill that utilizes a tool we all have access to on the Practice Tee, alignment sticks!

Begin by holding the end of the alignment stick under the grip of your glove hand. At address, the stick should point up your left side.

Check your takeaway by ensuring that the stick points down the target line when the club is parallel to the ground.

As you swing through impact, keep the stick from hitting your side. This reinforces a forward shaft angle, helping us compress the ball. This drill is best completed with slow tempo swings!
