The New Course!

With the opening of 18 holes on what is considered “The New Course”, we thought that we would schedule a few Memorial Day Golf Events for Members to enjoy over the Holiday Weekend.

BEAT THE PRO SIP ‘N SWING
Friday – May 27

Here’s a “Sip ‘N Swing” with a twist! Players team up as a group of six players and try to beat the 9-hole score of your Professional Staff. The event will still have its usual “twists” with different formats on each hole, and the winners will be those teams who beat the score of the 4 Professionals (six against four … odds are in your favor!). Adult beverages will be available on the course for those who find making a 3-footer into a 6 inch hole challenging, and the event will conclude with a one hour reception including Wine, Beer, Cocktails and heavy hors d'oeuvres.

 THE "NEW COURSE" MATCH PLAY TOURNAMENT
 While The Mayacama Cup will have to wait until 2017, we can still have some fun with a Match Play Tournament over the Memorial Day Weekend. We’ve set up an event that will feature 8 person flights, determined by your current Handicap Indexes. We will use the Temporary Slope established for The New Course and the player with the higher handicap will receive the difference between his/her handicap and that of his/her opponent. This event will feature a “Consolation Flight” so in the event that you are not successful in your first match, you will have an opportunity to continue play in the Consolation Flight … no “one and done” on this event!

FLIGHTS: Eight-person flights for both Men and Women to be determined by the Handicap Indexes of those who are entered.  

SCHEDULE OF MATCHES: Matches will start on Hole Number One of The New Course (Hole # 10 under normal conditions) with the first Starting Time scheduled for 8:00 am on Saturday, May 28.

8:00 am:      First Round Starting Times on Hole #1

Sunday – May 29
8:00 am:      Second Round Starting Times on Hole #1
                    Consolation Bracket Starting Times

Monday – May 30
8:00 am:      Final Matches Starting Times on Hole #1
