An incredibly high honor for Mayacama and your Head Golf Professional, Ted Antonopoulos has been invited to officiate The Masters for the second year in a row. This year is an exceptional accolade considering with COVID-19 regulations, the number of rules officials has been reduced by nearly 50%, but Ted made the cut! Congratulations to our 2020 Mayacama Club Champion John Hamm, Medalist at the Qualifying Tournament for the 2020 California Senior Amateur Championship! John led the field of 90 players with a 3 stroke margin of victory, the largest margin in 16 years, by firing a score of 3 under par 69 at Poppy Ridge Golf Course in Livermore, CA. The 29th California Senior Amateur Championship will be played November 9–11 at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, California.

The Club & Course will be closed next Monday, October 5 through Thursday, October 8 for aeration of the Golf Course and maintenance around the property. Aeration occurs in Spring and again in Fall to maintain the immaculate playing conditions you have come to expect at Mayacama. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Club on Friday, October 9.

You may begin to notice the fairway on 9 looking a little brown as the Golf Course Maintenance crew works diligently to remove bentgrass this year. Fall is a great time to grow grass, and seeding will begin during aeration as the fairway will recover quickly. We anticipate the work to be complete by November. We appreciate your patience as we improve conditions on the Course.
