Dear Residence Club Members,
Hopefully you all have received the updates from the club regarding the fires throughout Sonoma County and the effect on the Club property. As stated in previous updates we did sustain damage to our wastewater facility, golf maintenance building, several bridges throughout the golf course and one Member's home.
We are fortunate to not have structural damage to any of our lodging units, including those currently under construction. As the fire was raging all around the property, we did incur significant smoke damage and residue throughout the Clubhouse and lodging units. Insurance has been on site and is providing the necessary resources for us to begin the cleanup of items that can be restored and the replacement of those that cannot be salvaged.
We are working as fast and efficiently as possible to bring the wastewater plant back online and begin to restore our Club operations. We should have a more definitive sense of the timelines for resuming operations later this week or early next week. As mentioned earlier we have a very strong and comprehensive insurance policy and expect to be fully covered for this event.
At this time, we have canceled all reservations with an arrival date prior to November 12, 2017. We are still working hard to implement a fair and accurate timeline for getting the residences back online. If any Members are still planning on traveling out to Santa Rosa between now and then, please contact Danny or Brian for any assistance needed with booking local hotels in the area or planning any aspect of your trip.
Additionally we must acknowledge that this tragic event happened during the annual Residence Club Selection Process for the 2018 calendar year. At this moment we plan on delaying the process exactly 16 days, and will resume on November 1, 2017. There will be a separate email regarding the delay that will be sent later this week.
We thank you all for the outpouring of support you have shown during these very challenging and difficult times and ask for your patience and understanding as we move to reopen Mayacama. Please continue to pray not only for the many Members and staff who lost their homes but for all of those affected in this region.
