Dear Mayacama Residence Member,
I am writing to connect with you on the happenings here at Mayacama for the 2019 year. I would be remiss to not mention that we have had a wonderful 2018 and look forward to the joyful holiday season ahead. Additionally, thank you for your participation in the Selection Process this year. Brian and I will be completing the process on time and you will be receiving confirmation of your 3rd Planned Vacation on or before November 15th.
Don’t forget "Space Available" opens up for 2019 on December 1st at 12:00am. All requests will be addressed in a first come, first serve basis.
As you may know, we sent an announcement to the general membership announcing the new nightly rental policy. While this was covered in the 2018 Annual Residence Club meeting, I am writing with a few thoughts relative to whole owned units.
The Villas that are under construction are being built with the intention that some may be sold as whole ownership while some may remain in Club inventory. With this in mind, part of the whole ownership agreement is the nights that are not used by the owner are intended to be rented back to the general membership so as to generate revenue for the owner and the Club. It’s this inventory that will be used to satisfy the lodging requests that come in from our nightly rental program outlined in the previous email.
Rest assured, these Members will only have access to the inventory provided by whole owners. This does not mean that Residence Club Members such as yourself, will not have access to these newly built residences, however accessibility will be subject to the lodging team allocating these residences across all Members, Residence Club or otherwise.
A good example would be if you had booked a vacation in (2) 1-Bedroom Casitas, but preferred a villa, and we had demand from one or two non-residence Club Members to book (2) 1-Bedroom casitas. It would be a simple switch to put the Residence Club Members in one of the Villas by the 4th tee and satisfy the non-residence Club Member’s request for (2) 1-Bedroom Casitas.
There will be a high level of attention and detail paid to this process to accommodate all requests as best we can, while keeping in mind the different responsibilities we have to each Member respective to membership types.
Lastly we want it to be known that we appreciate your commitment made to the Residence Club and as such, if you would like to book residences that are not the Residence Club, we will be offering you a significantly discounted rate of $800 per night for a 3-Bedroom and $400 per night for a 1-Bedroom (based on availability). Please note that this is close to a 50% discount from the non-Residence Club Member rate of $1595.
Of course, please never hesitate to reach out with any questions. You can also reference the Annual Residence Club meeting minutes, or the lodging email referenced above in the links below.
As always, we are happy to help.
Sincerely,
Daniel Hildebrand
