In 1982, the Cardinale label was born with a mission to produce a singular Cabernet Sauvignon from the highest-quality vineyards in Napa Valley. Today, Cardinale is a blend of multiple sub-appellations in Napa Valley and remains a limited production, powerful and seamless Cabernet Sauvignon.
Mountain fruit is the foundation for the Cardinale blend – particularly grapes from Mount Veeder, Howell Mountain, Spring Mountain and Diamond Mountain – yet hillside and benchland grapes, as well as a small amount of Merlot, add layers of complexity in every vintage.
Since 2001, Christopher Carpenter has been crafting the highly-rated Cardinale wines. Equally an expert at grape growing as he is at making wine, Christopher vinifies grapes from more than a dozen vineyards throughout Napa Valley, and through arduous blending, creates a wine that demonstrates the personality of each vintage, and whose whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Napa Valley 3-Pack Cabernet Sauvignon Vertical

We are excited to present to you an extremely limited 3-pack vertical offering of the Cardinale wines, vintages 2009-2011.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the great pleasure of interacting with Chris on numerous occasions, tasting with him and sharing conversations at length about vintages and varietals. So, when this opportunity came to my desk, I had to see what his thoughts were on the 3-year snapshot.
“Such a killer vertical! These wines, all from cooler vintages, show why mountain vineyards are the place to be; nuance, depth, and incredible potential to age,” Chris said.
Cardinale has opened their library for us to make this available to our Members. This is an extremely limited offering, as we were able to get our hands on just 10 of these 3-pack boxes.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions regarding these wines. Cheers!
