The Parent-Child Results |
We would like to thank you all for enduring the heat and competing in this special event. There was a display of exceptional golf throughout, leading to the crowning of two new Parent Child Champions and one participant who hadn't lifted the trophy since 2014.
Starting with the Championship Flight, James Johnson and Ryan Johnson finished impressively, going 4 under in their last 5 holes, resulting in a score of 71 and a one-shot margin of victory over Robert Pang and Geoff Grant. This victory marked their second Parent Child trophy.
The Mayacama Flight's outcome was determined by a Hole by Hole playoff. Ultimately, Stephen Sankoff and his son, Stephen Sankoff II triumphed by one shot over David Bailey and William Bailey, claiming their first Parent Child trophy in the process.
In our 9 Hole Division, John Gilman and his son, Parker Gilman, made an impressive debut in the golf tournament, shooting a 41 to secure the victory in the 9-Hole Division. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for making this a great event! |

PGA Jr. League Update |
We had an amazing 2023 PGA Junior League Season! Mayacama fielded two teams, one 13U and one 17U team. Throughout the season, the kids played against other teams in the county in a 2-person scramble team format. From our 13 U team, a big congratulations to Andrew Milliken, Aria Wilhelm, and Addison Domenichelli on making the All-Star team! On our 17U team, we had 5 of our Junior Golfers make it to All-Stars!
Congratulations to Ryan Bello, William Carlson, Grant Wilhelm, Keely Collins, and Payton Bunch on this achievement. Both teams will represent Mayacama at The Ridge Golf Club on July 30th at the Sectional Championship, competing against junior golfers from across Northern California. We are very proud of our junior golfers and will be wishing them luck to continue their success in future events! |
