Mayacama Cup Match Play Championship Results

We want to congratulate all players for participating in the 2020 Mayacama Cup Match Play Championship.

Taking the Championship Flight in a close one over Paul Balatti, and defending his 2019 title is Chris Qvale. The match went to the 18th tee with Qvale 1-Up, and after both players tied the 18th, Qvale collected his fourth Mayacama Cup Title with a match result of 1-Up.

It also took 18 holes to decide the Men's Mayacama Flight. In a seesaw battle, Pat O'Keeffe and Paul Puccioni went back and forth throughout their match, with Puccioni standing on the 18th 1-Up. O'Keeffe pulled his tee-shot on the 18th into an unplayable lie situation. That all but sealed the hole and the match for Puccioni, who also successfully defended his 2019 Mayacama Cup Title.

Tiffany Luck is also no stranger to the 18th hole. Both her Quarter-Final and Semi-Final matches came down to the 18th. After surviving those two close calls, Luck would face Jocelyn Neff, who just two weeks ago captured her first Mayacama Medal by winning the Mayacama Flight of the Annual Club Championship. In their Championship Match, the lead went back and forth on the outward nine before Luck pulled away to win her first Mayacama Medal by a match result of 4 & 3.

Pool Update

We hope you have enjoyed the new food and drink offerings at the Pool this summer. As we move into autumn, we have begun offering a limited menu on Saturday and Sunday. Foodservice is unavailable during the week through the rest of September until the Pool is closed for the season on October 1.

Lap Swim is still available in the mornings, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. (Closed Tuesdays)

Etiquette

Children

With the increase in outdoor dining on the Terrace, for safety reasons, and to protect the grounds, we would like to take a moment to remind Members that children are not allowed to play on the Putting Green, the 18th Green, or Hole #1. We appreciate your understanding as we strive to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all dining guests and players on the course.

Also, please keep in mind that a valid driver license is required to operate any golf car on property. This includes Villa & Casita golf cars. For the safety of Members and staff we ask for your assistance to ensure anyone operating a golf car is over the age of 16 with a valid license.

Pets

Dogs are welcome on the Terrace as you enjoy your meal, but please be aware of your pet's behavior, and be sure to keep your furry friend on a leash at all times.

Smoking

With the current fire danger in the region, we would like to remind all Members and their guests that smoking of any kind is not permitted anywhere on the Mayacama property except on the Sunset Terrace outside the Bar & Grill and Men's Locker Room. Thank you for your cooperation.
