Bar & Grill Remodel to Begin January 4th

Construction on our highly anticipated Bar & Grill remodel will begin on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023. Expanding the bar area to create a more open concept has been a goal of ours for many years and we are thrilled to provide our Members with an elevated Bar & Grill experience once complete. During the remodel, we will continue to be open without disruptions for all Food & Beverage services. We hope you will enjoy the temporary Bar & Grill location in the Mayacama Living Room.

Please note: The Clubhouse will not be accessible from the Locker Room or patio areas during construction.

Welcome First Assistant Golf Professional
Matt Anderson, PGA

Please join us in welcoming Matt Anderson to the Mayacama Professional Staff!

Matt was born and raised in Sonoma County, and he’s made it his home throughout adulthood. He married his wife Kiki in June 2014 and together they have two beautiful children, Parker (6) and Aubrey (3). Matt had a passion for golf at a young age, he started working in the golf business at Adobe Creek at age 15. From there he joined the staff at Peacock Gap Golf Club where he worked his way up to becoming the First Assistant Golf Professional. Matt gained valuable experience as the Head Golf Professional at Healdsburg Golf Club, and most recently at Foxtail Golf Club.

Now at 34 years old, Matt has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Sonoma State, and he became a PGA member in May 2018. Matt has a passion to help people love the game of golf through intentional relating and excellent instruction. He believes golf is meant to be fun and bring people together. He is very excited to join the team at Mayacama and build relationships with our Members!

Mayacama to host 2023
AJGA Wyndham Cup

July 10 - 13, 2023

Since 1990, the Wyndham Cup annually brings together the nation’s top 40 juniors in an East-versus-West team match play tournament. The top boys and girls east of the Mississippi River compete against their counterparts from the west.

Mayacama Golf Club had the honor of hosting the Wyndham Cup in 2017, with the East defeating the West in a 28.5 – 21.5 point victory. It is a great privilege to bring the event back to the West.

An important element of this Championship is the Junior-Am Tournament that helps fundraise for the event. The Junior-Am is the AJGA’s version of a PGA Tour Pro-Am experience. Donations from the 2023 Wyndham Cup Junior-Am go to cover operational expenses of the event. Teams will include two Mayacama Members, and two junior golfers – a top boy and girl representing the East and the West Teams in competition. This is a great way to meet and play with the future stars of the PGA Tour!

Members will be encouraged to follow the action on the golf course as spectators. Volunteer opportunities will also be available, with details to come early 2023.
