Mayacama will be offering a 13U team for the first time in the Fall! This is a new opportunity for Junior golfers in Sonoma County to continue playing, practicing, and receiving coaching throughout the fall months. The league will mirror the framework of the PGA Junior League but will be run by our own local Sonoma County Golf Professionals. Golf teams featured in this league are: The Fountaingrove Club, Windsor Golf Club, Foxtail Golf Club, Bennett Valley Golf Club, and Mayacama Golf Club.
The League will run September 14th- November 18th with 5-6 matches and 7 practices, coached by Mayacama’s team of Professional Instructors.
Each player receives:
- 7 Practices
- Away and Home matches
- Mayacama Polo and Cap
- Instruction by PGA Professionals

No matter your skill level, you are ready to play 9 holes today! Operation 36 provides beginners with the most effective developmental programs to learn to play golf. Become a skilled golfer by following a motivating roadmap to shooting Par (36) or better for 9 holes!
- Play 9 Holes from Division 1 (25 yards)
- Shoot Par (36) or better to pass a Division
- Track Progress & Complete as many Divisions as possible!
The Junior Academy will be held on Sundays from 12:30 – 1:30 pm.
The Adult Academy will be held on Sundays from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.

We want to extend a big thank you to all the enthusiastic participants of this year's Junior Member-Guest! It was a thrilling event filled with remarkable golf played by our talented competitors. Let's give a round of applause to Jack Fitch and Jackson Heuer, who accumulated the highest number of Stableford points, securing their very first Junior Member-Guest triumph!
On our 6-hole putting course, with a hickory putter, Jackson Heuer took home first place by way of a hole by hole playoff over Jackson Puckett and Jack Fitch.
In the closest to the hole competition using Hickory Shafted Niblicks, Mathieu Sellier was able to pitch it to 5 feet from the hole to win that contest. |

| Annual Club Championships |

We are delighted to share the highlights of the 2023 Annual Championship of Mayacama Golf Club, which boasted our most competitive field to date.
In the Championship flight, Dean Park showcased remarkable resilience, overcoming a two-stroke deficit after the second round. His exceptional performance led to a three-day total of 226, securing him the prestigious title of Champion Golfer of the Year for the second time in just three years.
The Mayacama Flight witnessed a thrilling contest. In his first Mayacama Championship appearance, Scott Silveira displayed exceptional prowess, clinching his victory with a net score of 66 in the third round and concluding with a three-day total of 206.
In the Women's Championship, the leaderboard witnessed a standout player who demonstrated unwavering consistency across all three rounds. Lucinda Newcomb achieved a total score of 253 over the course of three days.
Among the Women's Mayacama Flight competitors, Anni Santry emerged as the champion, showcasing a consistent and impressive performance. Her total score of 225 secured her victory by a two-shot margin over Sarah Ozols.
We eagerly anticipate the return of Dean Park to the Champions Dinner, where he will be joined by our newest honoraries, Scott, Lucinda, and Anni, who have all earned their place through their outstanding contributions to this memorable championship. |
