Tennis Program Update
Mayacama is now offering ongoing tennis clinics with our new Tennis Pro Ryan Olson. We have created a handful of different clinics that cater to players of all ages and skill levels, like "Live Ball," a high-intensity, doubles-style cardio/play format, get ready-to-move, get-up and play! Introducing Mayacama’s New Tennis Pro
We are excited to introduce Mayacama’s new Tennis Pro, Ryan Olson.
Ryan is originally from Redlands, California, and has been playing tennis most of his life. Ryan played for the University of Redlands and achieved a number 2 ranking in doubles in Southern California.
Ryan has taught in Palm Desert at Shadow Mountain Resort and most recently in Lake Tahoe, where he ran a junior program in Tahoe City. He currently resides in Forestville and is ready to bring his expertise to Mayacama! Ryan is PTR-certified and able to teach beginning to advanced, children & teens, as well as all levels of adults.
“Having played tennis most of my life, my goal is to bring the joy I feel when playing on the court to others. I plan on using all the tricks of the trade I have learned over the years to ensure my clients have fun on the court while learning at a high level of tennis. I love watching people grow and learn for themselves with a little push from a coach. I enjoy dissecting a person’s stroke and game to find out exactly where they are breaking down. Then fix it,” Ryan says.
We are excited to have Ryan join the team and look forward to him taking the Tennis Program to new heights.
Meet Ryan
On Saturday, June 5 from 9am to 11am drop-in and join Ryan on the court for a clinic! All levels welcome. He will also be hanging out afterwards for a “meet and greet.” There will be complimentary fruit and refreshments to enjoy in the spirit of the French Open, which will be in progress that week.
