Vérité Library Wine Offer

The Jackson Family have long been stewards of vineyard land in Sonoma County. Since the early 1990’s, it had been the mission of Jess Jackson to create wines that rivaled the world’s best by championing the terroir which defines the vast winegrowing region that is Sonoma County. Jackson’s pursuit took a giant leap forward when he met winemaker Pierre Seillan during a visit to France in the 1990s.

A friendship would develop between Jackson and Seillan, and when Pierre visited California in 1997, he too saw the potential of the region. There was little hesitation when Jackson asked him to come to Sonoma County to realize this dream together. And so, Vérité was born.

Jackson and Seillan homed in on Sonoma County as the ideal location for Vérité – a project modeled after the top wines produced in Bordeaux, on both the Left and Right Bank. With vineyard locations in Bennett Valley, Alexander Valley, Chalk Hill and Knights Valley appellations, each terroir serves to add a unique character to the Vérité wines.

With the current release of the 2018 vintage, Vérité celebrates its 20th anniversary. Over the last two decades, the vision of Jackson and Seillan, which started which the 1998 vintage bottling, has largely become that of a reality. Today, the Vérité wines are some of the most sought-after Bordeaux-style wines produced in Sonoma County, and for good reason.

During the winemaking process, each unique micro-cru is vinified and barrel-aged separately before being blended into the three flagship wines: La Muse, La Joie, and Le Désir. Each micro-cru contributes its unique character to the finished wine, and the result is a wine of complexity and balance, communicating a singular sense of place.

Today’s Mayacama Wine Offer accesses the Vérité library for its members with a 20th anniversary three-bottle gift pack that celebrates the La Joie bottling.

La Joie was the first of three separate cuvées produced by Pierre under the Vérité label and is always Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, with other Bordeaux varietals blended in lesser proportion.

The three-bottle gift pack in today’s offer includes the 1998 Vérité La Joie (the very first vintage produced), 2008 Vérité La Joie (99 points – Robert Parker, Jr., Robert Parker Wine Advocate), and 2018 La Joie (98 points – Lisa Perotti-Brown, Robert Parker Wine Advocate)

We’re very excited to have been allocated a small amount of these Anniversary and so if you are interested in acquiring one, please place your order sooner rather than later.

As always, please feel free to let me know if you have any questions regarding today’s offer. Thank you for your support!

Cheers!
