Dutcher Crossing Wine Offer

If we haven’t had the chance to meet yet, my name is Kerri Cook, and I’m part of the wine team here at Mayacama. It’s been a pleasure getting to know many of you, and I look forward to continuing to connect through shared experiences around food and wine.

My path to wine has been shaped by curiosity, a willingness to pivot, and the core passions that have guided me throughout my life: flavor and food dynamics. I’ve worked across many facets of the wine world, from serving as a Wine Specialist at Whole Foods to evaluating wines as a professional judge. In 2019, I founded a high-end charcuterie and pairing business, and more recently, I’ve led “Flavor Immersions”—sensory experiences designed to explore the intersection of wine, food, and memory.

Outside of the Club, I’m a devoted mother to two teenage girls and my senior dog, Bruce. I find inspiration in nature and enjoy hiking, camping, and studying astronomy. Creativity flows through many outlets for me: painting, sculpting, music, and culinary expression, and I see the world through color and flavor. The simple joy of sharing a thoughtfully prepared meal is my idea of a perfect evening, and it continues to shape how I view wine: as a way to connect, tell stories, and savor the moment.

We recently featured Dutcher Crossing in our April First Friday pour, tasting through a selection of current releases. The wines showed a clear expression of site, with freshness, balance, and layered fruit character throughout each pour.

Rooted in the heart of Dry Creek Valley, Dutcher Crossing Winery is a family-owned estate focused on small-lot, vineyard-driven wines that reflect a deep connection to place. Located at the confluence of Dry Creek and Dutcher Creek, the estate spans hillside vineyards and a classic Sonoma farmhouse-style property where hospitality is central to the experience. At its foundation is a philosophy built on balance—vineyard, vintage, and varietal expression alongside a genuine, welcoming approach to winemaking and hospitality.

Winemaking is led by Winemaker Nick Briggs, who takes a hands-on, vineyard-first approach, sourcing fruit from both estate vineyards and select grower partners across Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, and beyond. The style emphasizes restraint and clarity, allowing each vineyard site to speak while maintaining consistency, structure, and purity of fruit across the portfolio.

I’m excited to extend this offering to our Members:

Dutcher Crossing, Sauvignon Blanc, Russian River Valley 2024 ($44)

Bright and refreshing, with vibrant citrus, tropical notes, and a clean mineral finish

Dutcher Crossing, Pinot Noir, Dundee Cove Vineyard, Willamette Valley, Oregon 2024 ($52)

Elegant and layered, with red cherry, forest floor, and subtle spice

NAMO, Cabernet Sauvignon, "Metta," Napa Valley 2018 ($130)

Structured and expressive, with dark fruit, cocoa, and refined tannins

In my role at Mayacama, I look forward to upholding the thoughtful, elevated service you know while supporting Jared as he continues to evolve and strengthen our wine program. If you see me around the Club, please feel free to say hello! I look forward to continuing to get to know each of you.

Cheers!

Kerri Cook, Sommelier
